Agartala: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched 20 development projects in Sepahijala district this Thursday. The total investment hit 65.49 crore. The ceremony took place at the Lal Singh Mura Primary Health Centre in the Charilam constituency. Saha hit a button to trigger the virtual inauguration of these sites.
Healthcare leads the budget. Officials earmarked 57.42 crore for 15 health projects. This includes new 24-hour emergency and indoor services at the local health center. The state also added funds for ten new AAS buildings, public health units, and staff housing at Boxanagar.
Administrative and educational works round out the remaining 7.98 crore. Revenue projects include new office buildings for the District Commissioner and the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Magistrate, alongside 108 residential units for staff. Students will also get a new English medium school building in Bishalgarh.
Saha addressed the crowd after his inspection of the health facilities. He claimed the new work will boost regional growth. "The newly inaugurated and proposed projects would significantly enhance public service delivery and contribute to the overall development of Sepahijala district," Saha said.
Local lawmakers and senior officials joined the Chief Minister at the event. The list included Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Datta and Health Secretary Kiran Gitte. Police and district leaders also stood by for the proceedings.
