Agartala: Tripura's Animal Resources Development Department reached a 98 percent implementation rate during the 2025-26 financial year. Minister Sudhangshu Das announced the milestone following a departmental review meeting attended by Secretary Deepa D. Nair and Director Neeraj Kumar Chanchal.

The meeting evaluated the performance of state and centrally sponsored programs while identifying areas for future improvement. Despite experiencing some setbacks with construction projects caused by seasonal factors and tendering delays, the department maintains that its overall performance remains strong.

Addressing the team, the Minister emphasized the need for efficiency and responsible management of public funds. "Last year, our achievement rate stood at 98 per cent. Though we faced some challenges in infrastructure-related works, the department has performed exceptionally well. Our focus now is to expand the reach of welfare schemes and benefit as many people as possible," Das stated.

The department currently plans to draft a comprehensive roadmap for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Officials aim to prioritize the timely delivery of benefits to residents by maximizing the utility of the sanctioned budget.
