Imphal: Thirty-three students earned placements at five-star hotels nationwide this week. They finished a hospitality training program in Churachandpur, Manipur. The CDS Skill Centre hosted the ceremony to mark their success. It was their third graduating class.
S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, a joint secretary in the Manipur government, handed out the certificates. He told the group to keep their faith and adapt to new surroundings. Ngaihte said: "the training was not only about getting placement elsewhere but learning to better their livelihood."
IndiGo Reach and the Community Development Society provided the free instruction. Most graduates are heading to major cities for their new roles. CDS president Lianzamung Tonsing warned the students that chasing a career often means leaving home comforts behind. So far, the partnership has placed 70 students in jobs across the country.
