Suspected Drugging and Robbery Leaves Family Hospitalized in Assam

Guwahati: Unidentified attackers raided a home in Borhisa village, Batadrava, early this week. They sprayed an unknown substance inside the residence. The intruders knocked out Haren Bora, Anima Bora, and Prashanta Bora before clearing out the house. They took gold ornaments, cash, and other belongings. The family remains in the hospital for treatment.

The scene turned grim when neighbors found a woman from the house without clothes. Locals fear she was sexually assaulted during the raid. Police have not confirmed any assault allegations as the investigation continues. Officials from the Batadrava Police Station reached the site to collect evidence.

Residents are angry. They cited a recent string of thefts near the local police station as evidence of a failing law and order situation. Authorities have not released an official statement or a timeline of the crime. The case remains wide open. "Investigation is underway," police officials said.
