Sikkim CM Praises Modi for Becoming India's Longest Serving Elected Prime Minister

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday for becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister. By surpassing the tenure of the country's first leader, Jawaharlal Nehru, Modi has moved past the milestone of 4,399 days in office.

Tamang stated that the achievement marks a significant moment in the democratic history of the nation. He emphasized that this record reflects the confidence the public has in the Prime Minister's dedication to building the country.

Reflecting on the milestone, Tamang noted that as the Prime Minister hits 12 years in office, his leadership remains central to the national goal of becoming a developed country. He stated, "Modi had created a new chapter in India's democratic history by surpassing the tenure record of the country's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, and crossing the milestone of 4,399 days in office."

On behalf of the citizens of Sikkim, the Chief Minister offered his best wishes to Modi for his continued service. He noted that the Prime Minister's vision for a Viksit Bharat by 2047 continues to guide the development journey of the country.
