Imphal: The Deputy Commissioner of Senapati announced the launch of the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision for the 2026 Electoral Roll. This initiative aims to ensure the accuracy of voter lists by identifying ineligible entries and including all qualified citizens across the district.
Electoral Registration Officers for the Karong, Mao, and Tadubi constituencies have distributed over 150,000 enumeration forms to Booth Level Officers. These officials are currently visiting households to verify information and will continue their rounds until June 28. Officials clarified that voters do not need to provide physical documentation during this stage of the process.
Voters can participate by completing the provided forms or using the Election Commission voter portal and the ECINET mobile application. The Deputy Commissioner warned that individuals who fail to return their forms may be categorized as absent, shifted, deceased, or duplicate after further verification. A public list of these categories will be released to maintain transparency.
The administration is calling on political parties, agents, and the general public to support the verification effort. Residents seeking assistance or clarification can contact the Voter Helpline at 1950 or consult with their local Booth Level Officers.
