Itanagar: Troops from the 20 Assam Rifles teamed up with Arunachal Pradesh Police to shut down a local drug run. They moved on Wednesday, August 12, following tip-offs regarding illicit activity in the Bordumsa area of Changlang district. Soldiers tracked the target and struck.

The joint force seized 26 grams of Mandrax, also known as Methaqualone. One suspect now sits in custody. Security forces stated, "The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances in the region."

Officers hauled the man and the drugs to the Bordumsa Police Station. Investigators there have taken charge of the case to prep for legal action. The bust marks another notch in the mission to clean up the border state.
