Aizawl: Assam Rifles teamed up with the state Excise and Narcotics Department to bust a drug ring in Aizawl. They hit the Tuikual North neighborhood on June 24 after getting a tip. The raid yielded 63 grams of Heroin No. 4 hidden inside a local home. Street value sits at roughly Rs 47.25 lakh.

Authorities cuffed four people. The group includes three women and one man. Investigations show the gear crossed the border from Myanmar and was slated for sale across Aizawl. Security teams handed the suspects and the drugs to the Excise and Narcotics Department for processing.

Assam Rifles officials praised the teamwork between agencies. They stated the action confirms their "commitment to combating drug trafficking and maintaining peace, security and stability in the region." The suspects now face a formal legal investigation.
