Guwahati: Samaguri police seized 14 stolen LPG cylinders during a raid at a residence in Penai. Officers discovered the gas canisters stored at the home of Gulzar Hussain, who has since been detained for questioning regarding the case.
The operation followed the recent arrests of two suspects, Abidul Haque and Imdadul Haque. Both men were taken into custody two days earlier in connection with a string of gas cylinder thefts in Amoni. During their initial interrogation, the pair revealed information that led authorities directly to the storage site.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the extent of the theft operation. They aim to identify any additional connections related to the storage and distribution of the stolen goods.
