Agartala: Power Minister R.K. Singh ordered utility officials to guarantee constant electricity across the grid. Heavy rains threaten to knock out lines and substations. He demanded zero downtime.

Utility companies must prepare for wet weather emergencies. Staff need to stay on high alert for downed wires. "Ensure that the power supply remains uninterrupted despite the monsoon rainfall," the Minister stated during a meeting with regional heads.

Teams will work around the clock. Maintenance crews are tracking flood risks to critical gear. Preventing long outages is the top priority for the department this season.
