Kohima: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited delivered an advanced life support ambulance to Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital on July 8. The vehicle arrived under the company's corporate social responsibility program. It aims to fix gaps in local emergency transport.
Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer flagged off the new unit at the hospital. He noted that past deaths occurred because this equipment was missing. "Several lives had been lost in the past due to the absence of such a facility," Longkumer said.
The Speaker expects the ambulance to speed up critical care access. He also praised the hospital staff for their hard work. Local officials including Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma and Power Grid Chief Manager Thapara Deori attended the ceremony. Civil society leaders and medical staff gathered to watch the vehicle launch.
