Guwahati: Police in Bajali arrested two suspected drug peddlers on charges of trafficking. Officers recovered 22.85 grams of heroin during the operation. They caught the pair red-handed.
The suspects, Ansarul Haque and Mokibul Mondal, hail from the Baksa district. Authorities took the duo into custody immediately following the seizure. They face intense questioning regarding the origin of the contraband and its final destination.
Investigators are now working to determine if the men operate as part of a larger drug trafficking network. The police stated that "further investigation is underway to ascertain whether the duo is linked to a wider drug trafficking network and identify other persons who may be involved." Officials are pushing to uncover every individual connected to the illegal supply chain.
