Guwahati: Authorities in Assam conducted a successful crackdown on drug trafficking in the Doboka area, resulting in the arrest of two suspected peddlers. Officers from the Hojai and Doboka police departments executed a joint operation at Bhedauti, where they intercepted the suspects and recovered 15 soap boxes filled with suspected heroin.

The operation relied on specific intelligence regarding local trafficking activities. Police officials stated the operation was carried out "based on specific intelligence inputs regarding drug trafficking activities in the area." Both individuals were taken into custody immediately following the seizure of the contraband.

Detectives are currently interrogating the pair to determine the origin of the narcotics and identify potential connections to a larger distribution network. The investigation remains active, and police anticipate that more arrests could occur as they continue to follow leads gathered during the probe.
