Police Seize 76 Cattle in Assam Truck Interception

Guwahati: Kaliabor Police pulled over two container trucks overnight in a coordinated operation. They found 76 head of cattle crammed inside the vehicles. The trucks were moving the animals illegally from Golaghat toward Rupohihat.

Officers flagged the trucks, registered as NL 01 N 0791 and NL 01 N 1191, during their patrol. They took two transporters into custody. The suspects are Asadul Islam from Barma in Samaguri and Ataur Rahman.

The police confirmed the operation details, stating that "the 76 cattle were rescued and sent to a gaushala." Investigators are now digging into the illegal transport network to see who else is involved.
