Agartala: Agartala police have launched an investigation into the death of Manisha Das, a 24-year-old warden at the Tripura Santiniketan Medical College girls' hostel. Her body was discovered on the third floor of the residence building on Thursday, sparking significant concern throughout the campus.
Officers from the Amtali Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after being notified to secure evidence and begin preliminary inquiries. While the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, officials have detained one individual for questioning, though they have withheld the identity of the person and their potential involvement.
The body has been moved to a local facility for a post-mortem examination. Investigators believe the autopsy report will be vital in determining the cause of death and identifying any signs of foul play. Police officials have urged the community to remain calm, stating, "no conclusions can be drawn until the investigation and post-mortem examination are completed."
