Phek Town Council Marks Two Years of Operation

Kohima: Phek Town Council marked two years of service on July 9, 2026. Local leaders gathered in Phek town to toast the anniversary and discuss the path forward. The event drew heavy hitters from across the district.

Chairperson Shevohu Nienu took the stage to promise a future built on transparency and grit. He thanked the police, local government, and NGOs for backing development efforts. The council aims to push for more progress soon. "With the continued support and cooperation of all council members, we believe we can achieve greater milestones in the years ahead," Nienu said.

High-ranking officials attended the celebration to show their support. Phek Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Nguori and Superintendent of Police Dr. Pritpal Kaur led the guest list. Lt. Colonel Pabitra Mazumder of the 39th Assam Rifles also joined the crowd. Seyieveto Lohe ran the program as chair.
