Phek Police Arrest Man Following Minor Assault Case

Kohima: Phek police arrested a man on July 1 for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy. Officers moved quickly after receiving a written complaint. A special police team tracked the suspect and apprehended him the same day.

Authorities registered a case at the Phek Women Police Station under multiple sections of the POCSO Act. The accused is now held in judicial custody following initial legal proceedings. Officials report the young victim is stable and currently receiving care.

Police warned the public against sharing details that might identify the boy. Disclosing such info violates the BNS, the POCSO Act, and the Juvenile Justice Act. It is a crime. Investigators promised a swift probe into the matter.
