Phüsachodümi Students Union Backs Demands for NH-29 Completion

Kohima: The Phüsachodümi Students' Union is backing the Chakhesang Students' Union in its fight to fix NH-29. Delays are hurting everyone. The Kohima-Jessami Road, specifically Package-II, remains in a state of decay. This route acts as a vital lifeline for multiple districts and villages.

Construction stalls have dragged on for far too long. Residents suffer daily. Local trade, education, and healthcare access have all taken a hit because of the crumbling infrastructure. The PSU issued a formal statement on October 1 to emphasize these severe economic and social burdens.

The union plans to stand with the CSU during its push for accountability and a swift project finish. They called for officials to treat the matter with urgency. "The PSU affirmed that it stands shoulder to shoulder with the CSU in its peaceful and democratic pursuit of accountability, justice, and a timely resolution to the issues surrounding NH-29 Package-II."

Support is absolute. The union promised full cooperation for any lawful action taken to secure a better road. They expect immediate results to restore essential connectivity for the region.
