People’s War Group Issues Threat Over Manipur Farm Scheme Corruption

Imphal: The People’s War Group (Marxist Centre) is threatening retaliation over alleged corruption in the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana. Comrade Lenin Meitei, secretary of the group’s central media unit for the Kangleipak Communist Party, claims the program is rigged. He alleges that officials and private firms are pocketing money meant for farmers. Money went missing.

The group singled out a former nodal officer and three specific suppliers. These include M/S Symbolic Enterprise, M/S Wahengbam Irrigation Enterprise, and M/S East India Machine Company. They are accused of diverting materials and padding lists with fake beneficiaries to secure illegal financial gains. The organization demands that the Manipur Loumee Marup push the Agriculture Department for accountability. They want to know exactly who received the supposed benefits.

The group claims their internal investigation shows genuine farmers in the state are being left behind. They warned that they will soon move against those who exploited the system. The statement is clear. "The organisation would take firm action against those allegedly depriving farmers of their rights." They warned that no outside group should interfere with these planned operations.
