NPGN/NNC Warns Against Unauthorized Tax Collection in Dimapur

Kohima: The NPGN/NNC (N-A) issued a stern warning after reports surfaced of random, illegal tax collections. These shakedowns are happening in Dimapur, Chumoukedima, Jornapani, and the surrounding areas. Fraudsters are operating under the name of the organization's president, T. Ovung.

Business owners, department heads, and the general public should stay alert. Do not hand over cash for yearly taxes, financial aid, or donations. The group demands an official authorization letter signed by the president for any collection. The organization is clear on the consequences. "Defaulters indulging in such activities would be doing so at their own risk."
