Kohima: The Naga People's Front Meluri Division gathered at Meluri Village Council Hall on September 26. Attendees included division office bearers, frontal wing members, town councillors, and village leaders. They met to plan the future and tighten party ranks. Speakers pushed for stronger grassroots engagement while demanding strict adherence to party discipline and ideology.
The division passed a resolution pledging support for Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio. They credited his leadership for bringing peace and progress to the state. Members also acknowledged the ongoing expansion of the party under Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, the MLA and Advisor for NSDMA and Inland Waterways. New members keep joining the fold. Nyuthe welcomed the newcomers and demanded total allegiance to his leadership.
Nyuthe reminded the crowd that the NPF remains a vital force for the Naga identity. He warned against the current trend of youth dependency and pushed for economic independence. The advisor closed by demanding the public stop obstructing government work. He told the party members, "NPF is one of the oldest regional political parties in the country and represents Naga identity." The division committed to holding that line as they move forward.
