Guwahati: Fifty cadets from the 47 Assam R&V Squadron took to their horses in Khanapara on October 16. They marched to fight drug addiction. The group represented the College of Veterinary Science and rode under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
The riders grabbed public attention. They moved to warn the community about the dangers of substance abuse and pushed for a cleaner society. Each cadet pledged to avoid drugs and promised to discourage others from falling into addiction.
The event built discipline and leadership skills. It gave the young riders a chance to serve their country. The unit official stated, "Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life - Together for a Nasha Mukt Bharat!"
The rally ended on a high note. Organizers said the event received an encouraging response from the local crowd. The NCC Riding Unit now aims to use these cadets as ambassadors to inspire youth across India to stay sober.
