Shillong: The Ministry of Rural Development and the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society are teaming up for a major conference. They will host a two-day national review meeting focused on Rural Self Employment Training Institutes. The sessions kick off soon to assess the nationwide program.
Joint Secretary S Sasikumar will chair the event. Officials are flying in from every corner of the country to attend. The guest list includes state directors, state controllers of these institutes, representatives from the State Rural Livelihood Mission, and officials from various sponsoring banks. They aim to hammer out the future of rural training.
The gathering serves as a platform to evaluate current operations. The official agenda confirms that this "two-day national level review meeting" will cover wide-ranging policy updates and operational strategies for the national network of centers.
