Agartala: National Law University Tripura has opened the application process for several regular faculty positions for the 2026 academic year. The university is seeking qualified candidates to fill openings for a Professor of Law, an Associate Professor of Law, and an Assistant Professor of Sociology.
For the Professor of Law position, applicants must be eminent scholars with a Ph.D. and a proven track record of high-quality research, including a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed publications and a total research score of 120. Alternatively, the university will consider outstanding professionals from industry or academia who possess 10 years of experience and have made significant contributions to the field. The university is recruiting two professors under this track.
The role of Associate Professor of Law requires a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree with at least 55 percent marks. Candidates must demonstrate eight years of teaching or research experience, seven peer-reviewed publications, and a research score of 75. For the single Assistant Professor of Sociology role, applicants need a relevant Master’s degree and must have cleared the National Eligibility Test or hold a Ph.D. that meets UGC standards.
Interested individuals should submit their applications via the official Google Form provided by the university. The university stated, "Candidates may apply online for the above posts through the Google Form link."
The application window closes on July 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST. Fees are set at INR 1,500 for unreserved and out-of-state candidates, while residents belonging to SC, ST, or PWD categories in Tripura pay INR 1,000. Applicants must upload their payment receipt directly to the online form.
