Guwahati: Nagaon Rangers crushed the Charaideo Sunrisers by 10 wickets on August 9 at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati. The win marked their first of the 2026 Assam Premier League season. It was the tournament's first 10-wicket victory. The bowlers did the heavy lifting early.
Charaideo limped to 139/9 in their 20 overs. Hrishikesh Tamuli led their effort with 40 runs, while Himanshu Saraswat finished not out on 26. Bhargav Dutta wrecked their lineup with 3/18. Rahul Singh and Sunil Lachit each grabbed two wickets. The Sunrisers had no answers.
Nagaon chased the 140-run target in a hurry. They finished the job in 13.2 overs. Soumyadeep Das hammered an unbeaten 70, and Sumit Kashyap stayed steady with 66 not out. None of the six Charaideo bowlers could stop the bleeding. The opening pair dismantled the attack entirely to earn their team a commanding result. As the league continues, the Rangers look to build on this performance. Their captain noted the squad's progress, stating, "The victory also marked the first 10-wicket win of the 2026 Assam Premier League."
