Kohima: Nagaland University’s Medziphema campus hosted a mental health workshop and private counseling sessions on September 3, 2026. The event sought to bolster emotional health and build a stronger campus support network.
Counselling psychologist Janthunglo Ngullie led the morning seminar in the Multipurpose Hall. The session fell under the Deeksharambh Programme. Ngullie taught students how to manage academic pressure and navigate personal stress. Participants also broke down common mental health myths while discussing healthy relationship building. Students joined in through reflective activities and an anonymous Q&A segment. Many attendees later described the event as an "eye opener" regarding their own needs.
The afternoon featured individual counseling sessions at the Students Placement Office. Faculty, staff, and students all took advantage of the confidential care. Dr. Mary N. Odyuo, the Students Placement Officer, opened the day by explaining the program goals. Dr. S. Pavan, the assistant officer, oversaw the proceedings. The university remains committed to a healthier campus culture.
