This committee, established by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, serves to align central and state departments to improve public communication and combat misinformation.

Dr. K. Miachieo, the Director of Census Operations for Nagaland, confirmed that the House Listing Operation is scheduled to take place from July 1 to July 30, 2026. The government plans to launch a diverse media campaign to inform the public, utilizing television, print, digital platforms, and radio. These broadcasts will be produced in English, Nagamese, and 15 local dialects to ensure broad accessibility. Regarding the outreach efforts, Dr. Miachieo stated that the committee is prioritizing a "coordinated, theme-based media strategy" to ensure the success of the exercise.
