Nagaland Minister Honors Guru Sangyusang After Padma Shree Win

Kohima: Rural Development Minister Metsubo Jamir officially recognized Guru Sangyusang S. Pongener following his receipt of the Padma Shree. This high civilian honor marks a major milestone. Jamir stated the recognition serves as a proud moment for the Ao community and the entire state of Nagaland.

The award celebrates six decades of work. Pongener spent his life protecting indigenous traditions. He previously secured the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Governor’s Award for his service.
