Kohima: Lok Sabha MP S. Supongmeren Jamir chaired a review of district development schemes in Niuland on July 1. Officials gathered at the DC conference hall to break down the progress and hurdles facing local projects. Jamir opened the floor for candid feedback. He told members, "freely raise issues without hesitation."

Representatives from the Agriculture, Water Resources, Veterinary, and Labour departments presented their progress reports. Jamir identified a need for better agricultural infrastructure. He pushed the district administration to draw up a roadmap for a cold storage facility to help local farmers store their goods.

The discussion shifted to the district dairy sector. Jamir noted that local dairy farming has high market potential and urged officials to find ways to boost production. He also addressed complaints regarding poor network and communication services. The MP promised to take those complaints to the proper authorities to get results.
