Mokokchung rally targets drug abuse on June 30

Kohima: Mokokchung prepares for a major push against addiction. On June 30, the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation and the 12 Assam Rifles will host a youth awareness rally and wellness event at the Assam Rifles Ground. The program starts at 10 am sharp.

Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma leads the event as chief guest. Dr. Swapan Gupta, a New Delhi neurologist and narcotics specialist, takes the stage as the guest speaker. They are focusing the day on the theme, "Drug Abuse Prevention & Value-based Living."

The event moves to the streets after the opening session. Participants will march from the ground through the town center, ending the trek at the Police Point near Ao Baptist Church. Organizers want a loud message against substance abuse. They are asking students, local groups, and the public to show up and back this community health push.
