Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma opened Samuel Lifecare and Cosmetics Private Limited on Friday. The plant sits in Lengpui Vengthar. Dr. Lalrokhawma and his family started the firm after three years of intensive research. They now produce 46 types of cosmetics, nine home-care items, and two food supplements.

The company represents a first for the Northeast in this sector. Lalduhoma called the project a potential milestone for the area. He stated, "planting a new seed for Mizoram and the Northeast." The facility relies on formulas created through internal research and development.

Mizoram sends heavy cash flow outside the state to buy imported goods. The Chief Minister wants to keep that money local. He promised government backing for the company as it manages its startup loans. Lalduhoma asked residents to buy these new products and urged store owners to stock them on their shelves.

E-commerce platforms should also push these goods to wider markets. Dr. Lalrokhawma, who also founded Skinfyx, led the three-year development cycle. He claims the factory can now meet the entire state demand for its product line within six months. He plans to scale up production rapidly.
