Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma demanded accountability for recent exam paper leaks on July 24. Speaking in Imphal, Manipur, he insisted that officials must identify and punish everyone involved in the irregularities to secure justice for students.
The Chief Minister highlighted the need for a deep investigation. "What has happened in terms of the examinations or the overall leakage of the paper, a proper investigation should be done to ensure that action is taken against those responsible," he said. The situation remains tense.
Sangma also criticized the heavy-handed tactics used against protesters at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He acknowledged the public fury surrounding the police aggression during the recent demonstrations. Despite the frustration, the Chief Minister remains hopeful about the future. He noted that stakeholders have started talking and expects those discussions to steer the country in the right direction.
