Mansukh Mandaviya Reviews Preparations for 39th National Games in Shillong

Shillong: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya led a review meeting in Shillong on Saturday to evaluate the status of the 39th National Games, scheduled for 2027. The session focused on the timeline for infrastructure development and the overall state of venue readiness.

Key officials joined the Minister for the discussion, including Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and state Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla. Indian Olympic Association President P. T. Usha also participated, alongside senior representatives from the sports ministry and delegates from across the North Eastern states.

Participants examined the coordination mechanisms necessary to host the national event. The discussions centered on ensuring that all organizational and logistical arrangements remain on track to meet the requirements of the upcoming games.
