Manipur PPP Pushes Youth to Lead Political Reform

Imphal: Retired Col. H. Sarat, president of the People’s Political Party, is rallying the youth of Manipur. He wants them to secure the state's future through active political engagement. Sarat spoke at a press conference at the Manipur Press Club in Majorkhul.

The party aims for a strong, united Manipur. Sarat believes regional parties carry the weight of protecting state interests as the 2027 election approaches. He warned that frequent elections have failed to fix the uncertainty haunting the public. Peace remains elusive.

Sarat challenged the youth to build knowledge and unite. He said, "strong voice, united Manipur" is the path forward for the state. He urged active participation in both regional and national affairs. Youth leadership will dictate what happens to the next generation.

The party is also backing the ongoing NRC wave. Sarat views the NRC and the demand for Scheduled Tribe status as core issues of birthright. He called for collective support on these matters, prioritizing public welfare and territorial protection above all else.
