Imphal: Manipur Cyber Crime police arrested a 58-year-old man for posting obscene comments about a woman on Facebook. Officers identified the suspect as Paonam Dhaneshwor, the son of the late P. Kulla Singh. He resides in Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai, located in the Imphal East district.
Authorities opened a formal case once the derogatory material appeared online. Investigators tracked the digital trail and moved in to make the arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
The police issued a stern warning to the public following the arrest. They demand users stop spreading harmful content. The Cyber Crime Police Station advised citizens to "refrain from posting or sharing obscene, derogatory or objectionable content on social media platforms, particularly material that could cause harassment, humiliation or harm to an individual's dignity and reputation."
