Manipur Opens New Police Museum to Honor State History

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand officially opened the Manipur Police Museum today at the 1st Manipur Rifles Battalion Complex. He was joined by Director General of Police Rajiv Singh and several other high-ranking police officials for the unveiling.

The facility serves as a historical repository dedicated to the service, evolution, and legacy of the state police force. Visitors can explore a collection of antique weapons, vintage uniforms, archival documents, and rare photographs that track the force's development over time.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Khemchand emphasized that the museum stands as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of police personnel across generations. He noted that the site is designed to preserve the heritage of the department while serving as a source of inspiration for future officers. The Chief Minister also confirmed that the state government remains committed to supporting and promoting the institution.
