Imphal: Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen distributed completion certificates to local youth on Tuesday at the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council office. The event marked the end of a vocational training initiative sponsored by Kipgen and run by The Art of Living. The program equipped participants with practical trade skills, specifically tailoring and mobile phone repair.
Proceedings kicked off with an invocation prayer led by Ginthang Kipgen. Project Manager Chongoulen Hangshing then provided a detailed report on the progress of the training. Kipgen addressed the crowd and pushed for long-term self-reliance. She told attendees, "The skills acquired through such programmes could help youth build greater independence and contribute to the region's socio-economic development."
Trainees Kimneihoi Haokip and Lhingdeikim Kipgen shared their personal experiences during the ceremony. The pair noted that the curriculum helped them move toward independence. Trainee representative Hoipineng/Phaldeichong Khongsai closed the event with a vote of thanks. The day ended with refreshments and a group photo for the attendees.
