During a visit to the Makhan Naga village in Kangpokpi district on Thursday, the Chief Minister stated that security forces are actively conducting search operations to locate the remaining hostages and apprehend all individuals involved in the crime.

The Chief Minister met with internally displaced persons currently seeking shelter at the Makhen Baptist Church. Among the 35 inmates are women and children from Konsakhul village who were previously held by armed miscreants before their release. During his visit, Singh distributed essential food supplies, including rice, oil, and tea, to the displaced families.

Addressing local concerns, Singh met with the village chief and district officials to discuss expanding capacity for displaced persons at the community hall. He directed the deputy commissioner of Kangpokpi to supply additional necessities such as mattresses and mosquito nets. Village leaders briefed the Chief Minister on the ongoing struggles faced by the local population, noting that many residents have fled their homes due to persistent safety fears.
