Kohima: The Liangmai Baptist Association brought pastors together at Kuda Village Baptist Church for a four-day leadership workshop. Running from July 6 to July 9, the course aimed to sharpen the skills of local church leaders. The host church picked up the tab for the event.
Experts led sessions covering preaching, pastoral care, and the necessity of keeping high ethical standards. Speakers like Shurhovilie Savino and Dr. Rokoneituo Nakhro walked the crowd through sermon prep and the weight of their calling. They insisted that leaders must focus on feeding and protecting their people.
Morning devotions set the tone for the week. Leaders warned against power trips in the church. They urged pastors to be good stewards rather than dictators so as to receive the "glorious crown" from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kaininglung, president of the LBA Pastor Union, thanked the host church for the support. He expects the training to bolster the work of every pastor serving under the association. The program pushed for humility and total commitment to the mission ahead.
