Liangmai Baptist Association Holds Annual Pastor Refresher Course

Kohima: The Liangmai Baptist Association wrapped up a four-day refresher course at Kuda Village Baptist Church in Dimapur this week. The event ran from July 6 to 9 under the theme Fulfill Your Ministry. Kuda Village Baptist Church sponsored the entire program to provide pastors with leadership training and spiritual renewal.

Experts led sessions on topics ranging from sermon preparation and expository preaching to the importance of pastoral counseling. Other subjects included church mission goals, the role of the Holy Spirit, and maintaining leader integrity. Speakers reminded the attendees that they act as spiritual shepherds tasked with feeding and protecting their congregations.

Morning devotions focused on humility. Leaders urged the group to avoid acting like bosses. Kaininglung, president of the LBA Pastor Union, thanked the host church and its deacon board for their support. He noted the value of their contribution, stating the church succeeded in "feeding them spiritual food to lead their people as good stewards."

The training emphasized the need for sound doctrine and servant-hearted leadership. Organizers told participants that faithful stewardship earns a glorious crown from Jesus Christ. The sessions concluded with a call for pastors to remain committed to their calling while guiding their members with humility.
