Kohima: Kohima District Implementation Committee members met on June 29, 2026, to fix bottlenecks in the PM Vishwakarma scheme. Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem led the session at his office. They reviewed training, toolkit distribution, and marketing efforts for local artisans.

Data conflicts are stalling progress. Banks and district records do not match on loan application status. Buchem demanded tighter collaboration between the two groups. He stated, "The committee noted that ITI Kohima has successfully conducted training programmes and plans to begin advanced training for carpenters."

Skill development remains a top priority. ITI Kohima finished its initial rounds and now eyes advanced carpentry courses. Officials pressed SCTE and SIRD to turn in their training plans immediately. India Post is currently handling toolkit deliveries.

Marketing support shows signs of life. Amazon is now taking orders for Kohima artisan goods. Meanwhile, the district formed its first artisan cluster. This group earned an invite to run training sessions in Delhi. Stakeholders must sync up to keep the momentum going.
