Kohima: The Kohima Lotha Hoho installed a new leadership team on June 30 at the Capital Convention Centre. Twelve office bearers and five advisors now hold the reins for a three-year term ending in 2029. K. N. Mhonthung Lotha returns as chairman.
Nagaland Chief Minister Advisor Chumben Murry attended as the special invitee. He pushed the group to prepare the youth for national growth. "We should not be left behind and the younger generation should be prepared and ready to contribute," Murry told the crowd. He called the new officials ambassadors for the Lotha community.
The meeting covered organizational business. Khyojamo Tungoe delivered the Jubilee 2025 audit report. The treasurer and outgoing secretary also presented findings from the 2024-2026 term. Rev. Dr. K. Benry Lotha blessed the incoming team with a dedicatory prayer.
Outgoing Vice Chairman E. Motsuthung Lotha led the proceedings and performed a song for the attendees. Members held a general discussion on community welfare before Jonas Yanthan offered the final vote of thanks.
