Imphal: Health officials wrapped up the second phase of a registration drive at Mayeng Lamjao Gram Panchayat today. The District Implementation Unit of Kakching manages the campaign. They want every eligible person signed up for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang health schemes.
The push started July 23 at Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat. Results are in. Staff recorded 38 new registrations and issued cards to 18 senior citizens. They cleared 94 ReKYC updates and enrolled one internally displaced person. The team also approved two CMHT cards, added 39 new members, and reprinted 571 existing cards. It works. The program provides free, cashless coverage up to 5 lakh rupees per family every year for serious hospital stays.
The mission continues. The team sets up at Langmeidong Gram Panchayat from July 29 to 31. They hit Waikhong from August 1 to 3 and Wangoo from August 4 to 11. Sugnu Nagar Panchayat follows on August 12 and 13. Serou gets coverage August 14 and 15. The schedule runs through early September, hitting sites including Kakching Khunou, Chairel, Sekmaijin, Wabagai, Keirak, Hayel Hangoon, and Pangantabi.
