Guwahati: Jorhat Police tracked down two missing girls from the Pulibor area at the Guwahati Railway Station on Thursday. Officers intercepted the pair before they could board a train bound for Chandigarh. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance and the motive for their travel remain unclear as investigators keep tight-lipped on the details.

Authorities have not released information on when the girls went missing or why they were heading to Chandigarh. Jorhat Police issued a brief statement regarding the recovery. "Two missing girls from Pulibor were recovered at Guwahati Railway Station when they were going towards Chandigarh. Further formalities continue," the department said.

The girls will return to their families once police finish the necessary legal paperwork. Officials are still running an inquiry into the case. More updates will follow once the investigation concludes.
