Jitendra Singh to Lead Shillong Conference on Digital Governance

Shillong: Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh lands in Shillong on Monday. He heads straight to the State Convention Centre. The minister plans to open a national conference focused on digital governance and modern administrative practices.

The event kicks off at 2 pm. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma will join Singh for the opening session. Both men are scheduled to speak to the gathered officials about the future of government reforms. The minister described the event as a "National Conference on ‘NextGen Administrative and e-Gov Reforms’" during his trip preparations.

The conference seeks to push state and federal agencies toward better digital systems. Singh remains in the region as part of the official program. The two leaders will focus on cutting through red tape and moving operations online.
