Shillong: President Masoud Pezeshkian claims Iran reached a peace Memorandum of Understanding with the United States under the direct watch of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. He confirmed the deal received backing from the Supreme National Security Council. This agreement aims to end regional conflicts, including those in Lebanon.
Pezeshkian spoke during a visit to Qom to clarify the status of the talks. He said, "All stages of negotiations (with the United States) were pursued within the framework of the (Iranian) establishment's macro policies, in full and continuous coordination with the supreme leader, and within the context of the country's legal mechanisms."
Talks now shift toward Iran's nuclear program and lifting sanctions. The President signaled a conditional approach to the arrangement. He stated that if the United States honors the terms, Iran will fulfill its own obligations.
The move marks a shift in diplomatic posture. Tehran expects the release of 6 billion dollars in assets currently held in Qatar. Pezeshkian framed the progress as a major win for his people. He vowed that Iran would not abandon its national interests or fundamental rights during the final negotiations.
