Kohima: Department of Information and Public Relations officials met with advisor Daochier I. Imchen at his official residence in Kohima on June 8. Commissioner and Secretary Orenthung Lotha and Director Dzüvinuo Theünuo led the delegation to congratulate Imchen on his recent victory in the Nagaland by-election representing the Koridang Assembly Constituency in Mokokchung district.

During the meeting, the officials provided an update on current departmental activities and projects. They pledged their full cooperation to Imchen as he begins his tenure in his new leadership role.

Imchen thanked the team for their visit and for their personal support during his recent election campaign. Reflecting on his family ties to the department, Imchen said the meeting felt like a “homecoming,” noting that his late father previously managed these same offices. He requested that the department prioritize the completion of projects started during his father’s time in office to preserve his legacy.
