Holy Cross Students Train in Traditional Crafts

Kohima: Holy Cross Higher Secondary School in Dimapur held a two-day skill workshop on June 25 and 26, 2026. The school auditorium hosted 835 students from classes XI and XII. They wanted to teach practical skills for the modern job market.

Students learned to make crochet and amigurumi. They also practiced beadwork for jewelry, basket weaving, and pipe cleaner flower crafts. Class XII students attended on the first day. The next day was for class XI students.

The school said the program was meant to "nurture creativity, encourage innovation and help students acquire skills that could be applied both for personal growth and livelihood opportunities." These activities aim to help kids earn money and start their own work down the road.
