Kohima: Hakhizhe village turned out on July 11 to toast its best and brightest. The 34th Hakhizhe Kiphimi Kuqhakulu Summer Meet-cum-Felicitation Programme honored students who conquered their latest exams. The spotlight fell on the HSSLC Science stream state second rank holder, who received a cash award from the village church and a local family.
Hard work pays off. The union handed out cash prizes to every student who cleared the 85 percent mark. Leaders used the stage to push the next generation toward better habits. Teacher Kakheto Zhimo told the crowd to get their heads out of their devices. He advised students to "obey their parents, reduce time spent on mobile phones and focus on building good character."
Holi Zhimo chaired the day with Isunoka Zhimo serving as co-chair. Piketo Shohe opened the event, while Pastor K Pukhaho Swu led a prayer for the students. The union remains committed to backing the village youth as they chase academic goals.
