Guwahati: Guns N’ Roses is set to perform in Guwahati on November 17, 2026. The announcement was made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday, confirming that the legendary American rock band will bring their global tour to the city following a scheduled performance in Bengaluru on November 14.

The concert will be held at the Khanapara Ground, marking a significant expansion for the band as they play outside of India’s traditional major metropolitan markets. In his announcement on X, Sarma noted the importance of the event for the region. "Delighted to welcome the legendary Guns N’ Roses to Guwahati on November 17, 2026, bringing one of the world’s most iconic rock bands to Assam," the Chief Minister said.

This event builds on the success of a major concert featuring Post Malone, which previously highlighted Guwahati as an emerging hub for international entertainment. The state government has been actively pursuing this sector since the Assam Cabinet approved a policy in 2025 designed to promote a concert economy and position the state as a destination for large-scale music tourism.

Beyond the cultural impact, state officials anticipate that hosting the band will provide a boost to local tourism and businesses. By drawing fans from across India and abroad, the government hopes to showcase the hospitality and vibrancy of the region while driving new economic opportunities.
